Grants Manager
Are you an experienced non-profit , Grants Manager who wants to use your expertise in a remote, flexible, part-time capacity? This may be the ideal role for you! We are seeking qualified Grants Managers with nonprofit experience to join our team for long-term, part-time engagements with our nonprofit clients. Flexible scheduling, from 10-40 hours/week. Health insurance is available at 20 hours. Compensation is $55-$65/hour, DOE.
We are the exclusive recruiting partner for our client - a Bay Area consulting firm that provides fractional CFO and outsourced accounting services to over 60 nonprofit organizations in Northern California.
Essential Duties:
◆ Build trusted relationships with client management by understanding their grants management needs and proactively identifying and solving issues.
◆ Develop and maintain a clear picture of the organization’s grant revenues and expenses
◆ Stay up to date with government grant regulations to ensure compliance.
➔ Post-Award Grants Management
◆ Create and help manage reporting calendar
◆ Develop systems for tracking grants and grant financials
◆ Manage grant budgets and budget revisions
◆ Create financial reports and invoices
◆ Work with accounting team to record data, identify revenue and set up coding
◆ Ensure compliance with funder requirements
◆ Streamline workflows and processes
◆ Lead or support budgeting processes
◆ Maintain consistency (staff training)
◆ Review current practices and identify areas for development or improvement
➔ Pre-Award Grants Management (Administration and Systems Development)
◆ Recommend grants management tools/software
◆ Work with programs and management on developing grant budgets and support development of organizational budget
◆Coordinate the grant application process, including facilitating meetings, ensure all components are compliant with the guidelines, and reviewing for consistency and details.
◆ Maintain a grant calendar that tracks submission deadlines, reporting requirements, and other important dates ◆ Ensure that the organization's policies and procedures align with grant requirements and best practices in grant management General responsibilities as a Shining Star employee will include:

➔ Minimum of 3 years of experience in grants management
➔ Basic understanding of non-profit financial accounting and fund accounting
➔ Proficient in using spreadsheets Preferred Qualifications
➔ Experience with procedures and policy development
➔ Knowledge of grant regulations and compliance requirements
➔ Experience in non-profit bookkeeping or finance Necessary Skills
➔ Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
➔ Ability to be detail oriented while also using that information to help inform bigger picture decisions
➔ Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and financial reports
➔ Strong customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with program staff and funders
